Formative task B

  • What does the term "secure Wi-Fi" mean?

The secure Wi-Fi network refers to the use of passwords and secure encryption methods to send wireless data between a mobile device and the Internet connection point. There is more than one way to encrypt data. also, it means that it is almost unhackable and manly private so no one can see what are doing. people online will try and steal your information with your wifi so secure wifi makes sure that will never happen too and what you are browsing.

  • When might you use Wi-Fi that is not secured?

well, I might use wifi that is not secured when I go to a place that has free wifi then I will have nonsecured wifi. or maybe when I go to a hotel/motel and they have free wifi it will normally be not secured, maybe at a friend's house and just public wifi as a hole.

  • Why is this an issue?

it is an issue because people can see what you are type and doing without a secure wifi service people can track or hack into your account that holds personally information and credit card information too this is made because there is manly no way to get your money back so suggest using a VPN or blocker to stop people like this trying to take your information because it encrypts all of your files making it hard for people to steal information. plus people can even steal off your wifi if it is not secure people will try and steal from without you knowing so always remember to have a WAP2 password so it is fine and can not be stolen

  • How can you make sure that your home network is safe and secure
  • well, you can check with your internet/ wifi provider to make sure that your wifi is secure/safe and that no one can hack onto it and steal your data. you can check with the person the pays for the wifi and know its details plus even the wifi provides can check what you are doing so make sure you are with a trusted service.
