formative task A

 What data did you collect?

I collected data from my family which was what type of apps they use on a daily bases, I also collected data for how long they were using their devices and how long they spent outside and how long they slept and also if they had a blue light on their phone. I collected this by asking each family member things on my list which they did answer giving me my data table and be able to fill it in. 

What did you try to do with this data?

we are trying to find out how long most people spend online and what they are normally using to do it this. all of this information will all go to the summative to construct a data table with this information in Microsoft excel 

Did it work? Why or why not?

it worked kind of, I will explain why this did well then explain what went wrong,

the things that went well was that most people got straight to the point and helped me in my research to collect data form my family plus most people keep track was what they are doing like if they had the blue light on or things like that.

what went wrong was that sometimes people had invalid data, for example, my brother said that he's most used app was setting and gave a wrong description that I had to put into my data table also [this is something most people cant control] how long they are asleep for and this does get hard to crack down on and my family doesn't keep track on how long they use their tech do they had to give guesses on how long they were on for.

What did you have to do to make this data useful? 

well, you have to put it into a table to make it useful and readable then it just being jumbled on a page. we need to collect data over time so we can put it in the table and prove what we need to prove.

we need to summarise the data in tables to help with the  concept that we are trying to prove
