What data did you collect?
What did you try to do with this data?
Did it work? Why or why not?
What did you have to do to make this data useful?
The data I collected is pretty similar throughout the week and it didn't change unless it was regarding the weekend screen time divided by my sister and I. But the overall data I collected was asking people how much screen time do you spend on your devices and the average range was from 2hrs- 5hrs on a device. Also the data I collected was finding how much time did you spend outside. Another source of data I collected was seeing if you use a blue light filter, what form of social media use and why do you use technology?
What I tried to do with the data was to find out how much money people spend on technology, how much time do people spend on people, how much time did you spend outside, what do you use technology for and do you use a blue light filter and I tried to find if the results were healthy to be able to live with technology while being healthy
It did work as I found that we spend quite a lot of money on technology which can lead to health problems as proven devices can lead to laziness and reduced exercising. Also I found out when buying technology we spend a lot of time on it from 2-10hrs which is bad for our bodies and health as we start to become lazy and put on weight. Another stat I identified was that we spend way more time indoors than outdoors which mean't the difference was around 4 hours separated from being indoors and outdoors. Thirdly another stat was that technology is mainly used for entertainment purposes such as video and gaming, and the other main purpose was for contacting people like messaging and calling for personal reasons and emergencies.
What I had to do identify if the data was useful was through my parents answers and they are truthful and reasonable with their responses. And finally what I did was to find out the average times spent on devices, and spending time outside in the modern day era matched and I monitored a littlle bit of time on how much time they spent outside, and on devices
