Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Term 4: Week 2

This term in reading groups I have been reading the book 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children'.
So far what has happend in the text, is Jacob [or as I have inferred Yakob in polish] grandfather has died after an attack from the 'monsters'.  Jacob works for a family business owned by her uncle called Smart Aid.  His friend named Ricky calls Jacob 'special aid'.

In the book the was a picture of who I assumed to be Miss Peregrine which is the same name as a hawk \falcon and she smoked a pipe.  The grandfather said there was a bird who smoked a pipe and guarded the house.  I infer that Miss Peregrine guards a house of her own maybe with children in it- connection to title.
