The Melting Pot
The book, The Melting Book is a book about a boy called Edward, who lived in Australia. His father is Chinese but his mother is Australian. He is judged because of his multi-cultural background from people everywhere and even his cousin.
So far into the book, I have not really gotten into it because there is not much action and it's kind of only retelling dates. But, the further on I read, the book has kinda hooked me in more.
The Melting Pot is a book where you have to infer a lot of the information since it sets a lot of imagery like when Edward was the describing all the people that attended Quong Tan's funeral (page 12).
Another example of when we have to infer is when we ask a question. We must infer or search for the answer as the author does not put it on the page literally.
