Readers Circle Discussion- Jali Boy

In readers circle we discussed with Mrs Fardell about the plot and the happy and sad parts and discussed peer pressure and how it can affect you to show how much Jali is suffering and having issues at school Jali was peer pressured and ended up next to the principals office with a spray paint doing graffiti and he ended up in boarding school away from his family and was excluded and ended up in fights with people and was kept away from other people in the boarding school but a boy named Jack became his friend. We also discussed how his dad had left and he needed to "be a man" and help his little brother Kain and protect him. We used skills like making connections (text to self and world) and inferring meaning.
