Plagues and Federation - Week 5
So far in the book, 'Plagues and Federation' Kitty Barnes and her family are witnessing a deadly plague spread across Australia, slowly reaching Sydney. Kitty's brother is still in war and unheard from. Quarintine procedures are taking action.. and more people are catching the plague.
I dont have any dislikes in the book, I like the way the author has set the scene of the story and the purpose use of incorrect grammar in conversations where readers are able to infer thats how people in the 1900's would've spoken back then. Evidence of this is on page 37 where Kitty says, "all the litties is yelling their heads off."
I predict that something terrible is going to happen next and cause more trouble for the town.. I think this because I dont think the story has reached its climax yet as I haven't seen a change in Kittys character. Referring to my reason for my prediction I think something bad will happen that will change Kitty's character emotionally, I think this will happen because the story is based on a sad time in Australia's past.
Overall I am enjoying this fascinating book so far and cant wait to read more about Kitty and the plague.
