Plagues and Federation Week 1
Prediction~
I anticipate that the book, 'Plagues and Federation' will be about a young girl living in the 1900's, Kitty Barnes, who writes about her life in a diary focusing on the time where all Australian colonies are close to becoming a federation. Aswell as rats introducing a new disease to Sydney called, 'The Black Death', while her older brother, Bertie is away at war.
When it says on the blurb, 'Plague is present in Sydney', I am inferring that plague is a terrible type of disease that must have spread rapidly throughout Sydney in 1900. I also predict that Kitty or one of her family members will catch the deadly disease or die. I think this because all good story's involve a major climax, which in this book I think the climax will be about someone dying of the terrible illness,in which I think will be either Kitty or her family. Also on the blurb it talks about a plague spreading, to me this is a great lead to the climax. These are my reasons for my prediction.

You have made some strong connections with the foreshadowing in the blurb. I wonder if your prediction is correct. I look forward to reading your future blogs and discussing your thoughts and emotions as the storyline unfolds.
