Common Grounds and Just the skin you're livin' in
Common Ground
Prediction:
I predict the book Common Ground will be about a young boy who fights for the rights of his people.
I think he wants to show the people who have more power than him that everyone should have equal rights and we should all be on the same level of power which means no hierarchy between his people and others.
Reason:
I think my prediction is correct because on the front cover it shows and young boy putting up a poster about how all of his people should have say and how everyone should be equal.
Words:

-Rights
-Cultures
-Level
-Poor
-Rich

Prediction:
I predict the book just the skin you're livin' in will be about some aboriginal kids who are judged by their skin colour. I think the kids show others that there is more to people than their skin colour and how we are all similar and should all be treated equally.
Reason:
I think my prediction is correct because on the front page there is an image of some aboriginal friends and there is a little sentence that says 'Don't judge people by appearances'.
This might mean that they have been judged for their skin colour and that they want justice.
The title is also connected because it says 'just the skin' which means that others only care what colour your skin is, not who you are as a person.
Words:
-Colours
-Cultures
-Skin
-Different
-Judge
A very thoughtful prediction that includes a deep understanding of connections with prior knowledge and the blurb to support your thoughts. I like how you also included words you think the author will use to support your prediction.
