Trash- page 105

So far, I have read up to page 105, when "Sister Olivier" and Gardo are talking to Gabriel Olondriz. Earlier in the book, Gardo says that Gabriel is his grandfather who he needs to talk to about his house, how it burnt down. But when they meet in person, it turns out they do not know each other whatsoever. This made  me confused because then how would Gardo know him or even get the idea that he was his grandfather? Anyway, Trash is an interesting book which shows you how life in Behala is for all those people who are unfortunate enough to have to live in the trash.
