Little Brother: Emily
Im in the 4th chapter and so far im very engaged. The author uses similes like 'their muscles sliding under their skin like heavy wire, both had eyebrows like black comets and his breath thundering like a steam train. The author also used show not tell like, both had eybrows like black comets, a broad mouth, a short straight nose, and darting brown eyes beneath tossing dark hair. Even though there were many unknown words like feeble, smug, hunkered, cleft, ening, algae, groping, foilage, gingerly, arithmetic, erected, ransacked, menacing, shelling, khaki and jagged im still interested. In class we are also learing about Asian contrys and i saw 'in laos' and i thought it was an Asian contry.
I really like adventure books and this book is about how Vithy and Mang ecaspe the big paddy and soldiers came after them. Mang then got chased by soldiers and Vithy was left alone he heard a gun shot and assumed the Mang was dead so he carried on away from the big paddy. at the moment he is in the city where he last was before he went to the big paddy and met a boy, he is very confused because he thought he was a soldier but he was offering food and water i want to read on next we have reading time.
