Sydney Harbour Bridge WK1

 Pre-Reading Prediction 

Prior to reading the Sydney Harbour Bridge, I believe/predict this book will be about two main characters Alice and Billy, as well as their beloved families. On the blurb, it states that that the duo will compose several diary entries all sharing the story of the construction of the Harbour Bridge, the history leading up to it, positive and negative impacts as well as celebrations. I believe this would make viewing the book interesting because you can be privy to two different points of view with both experiencing hardships in life because this time was the period of the great depression, were many struggled to find jobs and make an income. My evidence is from the blurb, as well as the cover on the front of the book.

    Prediction (After Reading 10%, 18 Pages) 

I believe in future they will talk about the politics leading up to the construction and Billy's family overcoming their problem of a shortage of income. I would like to see Sydney end the great depression through the convenience and other numerous positive effects such as uniting the two cities that were once isolated and separated by a harbour. The two characters Alice and Billy are interesting in their own unique way.
