Plagues and Federation Wk1

I predict that 'plagues and Federation ' is about Kitty Barnes who lived in 1900 Australia. When a terrible disease called plagues were about to spread in Australia and how the Australian colonies were about to becoming a federation . I predict This because in the title for the book it's says 'plagues ' and I know that plagues is a disease spreading by rats and at the back of the book it says that it is set in the early 1900's, so I knew it was set in 1900's. Another reason why I predict this is also in the tittle it says 'federation' plus I know that around that time Australian colonies were becoming a federation.
